Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hotel administration, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Strong background in high-volume, multi-outlet food and beverage management required
  • Extensive experience in full-service or luxury hotel operations
  • Experience managing residential components or commercial tenants highly preferred
  • Advanced understanding of profit and loss statements with emphasis on food and beverage margins and commercial lease revenue
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Opera
  • Experience with Point of Sale and inventory management systems
  • Proven leadership skills with ability to motivate large, diverse teams
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays required

  • Ability to work flexible hours including late nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Provide visionary leadership for the food and beverage division including two full-service restaurants, In-Room Dining, and the Pool deck
  • Oversee the Private Residences department and serve as the primary liaison for commercial leasing tenants ensuring lease agreements and service standards are met
  • Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service and instill a passion for Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards across all departments particularly within food and beverage teams
  • Monitor and manage the hotel budget focusing on food and beverage cost of goods sold, labor engineering, and revenue generation
  • Conduct regular inspections of dining outlets, residential common areas, and commercial spaces to ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with Director of Rooms and Director of Engineering for coordinated service delivery
  • Manage brand positioning through marketing programs, guest recognition, and creating daily guest surprises within dining and residential areas
  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and performance management in partnership with human resources fostering a culture of professional growth and accountability
  • Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local laws focusing on health department standards and responsible alcohol service
  • Act as General Manager in their absence and perform additional duties as assigned
