Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 years progressive hotel or related experience
- Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Customer service oriented attitude
- Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively
- Attend required meetings and participate in M.O.D. coverage
- Maintain punctual and consistent attendance
- Uphold personal grooming and appearance standards
- Comply with hotel safety and operational procedures
- Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years of related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years of related experience
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented approach
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance per Highgate standards

Job Duties
- Tour the operating departments daily, making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings, including training sessions and sales reviews
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate programs timely
- Hold monthly financial reviews with all department managers
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
- Develop managers through training and corporate programs
- Collaborate with Director of Sales on daily prospecting and account calls
- Engage actively in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and events
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Monitor development of management trainees
- Adhere to all Highgate policies and train new managers for compliance
- Assist in budget processes
- Ensure training in service standards according to Highgate standards
- Create a positive, team-oriented environment focusing on guests
- Inspect rooms weekly with Housekeeping Manager and Property Engineer
- Ensure daily processing of invoices using A/P process
- Submit financial documents timely to Corporate Office
- Maintain cleanliness and property maintenance
- Ensure employees are attentive, courteous, and efficient
- Forecast and analyze hotel’s financial position monthly
- Conduct management interviews and ensure compliance with hiring standards
- Interview candidates for management positions
- Perform performance appraisals for Executive Committee members
- Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline management staff
- Perform duties as requested by Vice President or Regional Director of Operations
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
- Meet clients on property to assist sales efforts
- Greet guests in public areas during peak times
- Follow procedures for hotel safe security and audits
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and participate in credit policies
- Complete corporate training modules and certify to train others
- Ensure scheduled meetings take place on property
