Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 years experience in hotel or related field
  • Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in budget management and financial forecasting
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
  • Commitment to exceptional guest service
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Physical ability to perform light work involving occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
  • Willingness to participate in Manager On Duty and other operational coverage as needed

Job Qualifications

  • At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
  • Effective listening and clarification skills for employee and guest concerns
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in Manager On Duty coverage as required
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel standards for safe and efficient operations
  • Effective problem-solving and proactive approach to challenges
  • Ability to understand and evaluate complex information from multiple sources
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

Job Duties

  • Participate in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts meeting clients and hosting receptions
  • Tour operating departments daily ensuring smooth operations and proper staffing
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and sales performance reviews
  • Meet regularly with operational department heads to review training financials goals and performance
  • Attend operational line ups weekly for various departments
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
  • Develop managers through training programs and competency development
