Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years experience in hotel or related field
- Ability to lead and manage teams effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in budget management and financial forecasting
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and practices
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities
- Commitment to exceptional guest service
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
- Physical ability to perform light work involving occasional lifting up to 20 pounds
- Willingness to participate in Manager On Duty and other operational coverage as needed
Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Effective listening and clarification skills for employee and guest concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
- Participate in Manager On Duty coverage as required
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with Highgate Hotel standards for safe and efficient operations
- Effective problem-solving and proactive approach to challenges
- Ability to understand and evaluate complex information from multiple sources
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Job Duties
- Participate in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts meeting clients and hosting receptions
- Tour operating departments daily ensuring smooth operations and proper staffing
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and sales performance reviews
- Meet regularly with operational department heads to review training financials goals and performance
- Attend operational line ups weekly for various departments
- Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
- Develop managers through training programs and competency development
