Job Requirements
- College degree or equivalent education
- Minimum three years experience in hotel management
- Experience managing full-service luxury hotel operations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Opera software
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and multitask
- Strong customer service focus
- Knowledge of safety and security hotel procedures
- Ability to lead and develop teams
- Available to work primarily Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm PST
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Adherence to payroll policies and code of conduct
- Ability to handle financial reporting and credit control
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of three-year experience as Hotel Manager or Director of Rooms
- Experience in all areas of hotel management including sales and marketing in a first-class hotel
- Full-service property experience
- Advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools preferred
- College degree or equivalent in hotel business
- Working knowledge of property safety and security procedures
- Excellent customer service and sales skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Energetic and outgoing personality
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
- Team player capable of working under minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic financial information and arithmetic
- Typing speed of 45 wpm and ability to input data effectively
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Opera preferred
- Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion
Job Duties
- Deliver results contributing to hotel success by driving revenue and controlling costs
- Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, Social & Sales, Finance, and People & Culture teams
- Meet or exceed hotel budgetary guidelines
- Protect hotel assets through maintenance, security, and housekeeping
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and controls
- Forecast and plan staffing and costs weekly
- Develop action plans to maximize occupancy and average rate
- Review and approve operating expenses
- Maintain credit policies and supervise collection of accounts
- Promote positive work environment and legal compliance
- Manage all hotel employees including Housekeeping, Engineering, Sales, Front Office, and Reservations
- Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Lead and motivate leadership teams to deliver business plans
- Drive guest-centric and innovative experiences
- Collaborate with RevGen to develop revenue strategies and pursue sales leads
- Curate guest journeys ensuring memorable experiences
- Lead luxury Rooms Division teams achieving profitability and service goals
- Uphold service culture aligned with 4-star/4-diamond standards
- Foster open communication and build team rapport
- Ensure compliance with all hotel policies including safety and emergency procedures
- Establish presence in the local market and community
- Perform administrative oversight and continuous improvement of hotel operations
- Coach leadership committee and team members for development and accountability
- Monitor market competition and adjust business strategies accordingly
- Achieve KPIs including profit margins and GOP percentage
