Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- bachelor's degree or one to two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- ability to present information effectively
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word
- proficiency in hotel software
- ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully
- completion of BASSET or TIPS training and Illinois Food Handlers Training
- valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
- ability to meet physical demands including lifting and moving weights up to 50 pounds
- ability to work in varying environments with exposure to tobacco smoke

- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience
- proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Access, and Word
- proficiency in hotel software

- excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- demonstrated ability to interact diplomatically and tactfully with guests, staff, and colleagues
Job Duties
- Supervise day to day hotel operations and manage staff
- function as a strategic leader of the hotel with responsibility for all aspects of the operation
- create effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs and achieving guest satisfaction
- assist in the budget process and provide recommendations ensuring compliance to budget initiatives
- promote superior customer service and ensure standards are followed by all team members
- maintain master and direct bill accounts and coordinate with Accounting staff
- resolve occupant complaints and support customer service programs
- maintain maximized occupancy and revenue
- make recommendations for hotel policies and financial activities
- ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and report potential issues
- maintain strict confidentiality in departmental and company matters
