Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent education
  • minimum of three years hotel management experience
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • service-oriented with customer service focus
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel software
  • ability to analyze basic financial information and control budgets
  • knowledge of safety and security procedures
  • ability to type 45 words per minute
  • ability to work under minimal supervision
  • must be energetic and outgoing
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to coach and develop others
  • open to travel if required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of three-year experience as hotel manager or director of rooms
  • experience managing all areas of hotel operations including sales, marketing, human resources, finance, and rooms division
  • college degree or equivalent education in hotel business or related field
  • advanced knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • proven leadership and team development abilities
  • ability to manage budgets and understand financial reports
  • knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • service-oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
  • ability to communicate effectively in English both written and spoken
  • proficiency with hotel management systems such as Opera preferred

Job Duties

  • Oversee hotel operations ensuring delivery of guest satisfaction and service quality
  • collaborate with revenue, marketing, sales, finance, and human resources teams to meet business objectives
  • manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to achieve financial performance goals
  • maintain asset value through maintenance, security, and housekeeping programs
  • lead and motivate cross-departmental teams including housekeeping, engineering, sales, front office, and reservations
  • ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures
  • develop and implement action plans to maximize occupancy and average rate
  • foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with employment laws
  • interact with guests to gather feedback and enhance service levels
  • build relationships with local community and promote property image
  • analyze market trends and competition to inform business strategies
  • supervise credit policies and manage accounts receivable
  • deliver coaching and development to leadership and team members
  • promote culture of innovation, excellence, and open communication
