Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least six years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • Experience with condo-hotel preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • Warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
  • Service-oriented approach to guest and employee interactions
  • Attendance at all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Participation in management on duty coverage
  • Regular attendance as per scheduling needs
  • High personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags

Job Duties

  • Participate in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts and meeting clients
  • Tour operating departments daily to ensure smooth operation and proper staffing
  • Maintain luxury standards across all hotel touchpoints including lobby and residences
  • Handle problem solving and crisis management calmly and efficiently
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Review financials, goals and operational performance with department heads weekly
  • Attend weekly operational line ups for all key departments
  • Meet financial review deadlines and comply with corporate programs
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers
  • Ensure budget productivity and standard accounting procedures are maintained
  • Develop managers through competency and corporate training programs
  • Participate in required management coverage as scheduled
  • Manage Lobby Ambassador program and monitor management trainees
  • Enforce compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure service standards training is implemented in all departments
  • Manage payroll procedures including overtime and meal break penalties
  • Oversee PCI compliance among departments, vendors and partners
  • Foster a positive, guest-focused team environment through employee development
  • Conduct regular room inspections with housekeeping and engineering teams
  • Process invoices daily using accounts payable procedures
  • Submit monthly financial documents to corporate on schedule
  • Maintain cleanliness and property maintenance through inspections
  • Ensure employees provide attentive, courteous service to guests and colleagues
  • Forecast hotel financial position monthly and perform accurate reforecasting
  • Conduct operational management interviews and follow hiring procedures
  • Interview final candidates for management vacancies
  • Perform department manager performance appraisals
  • Administer coaching, counseling and disciplinary actions
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by senior management
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
  • Meet clients onsite to assist sales efforts
  • Engage with guests in public areas during peak times
  • Follow procedures for hotel safe security and audits
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
  • Complete corporate training and certification programs
  • Ensure all scheduled meetings take place on property
  • Conduct daily sales and revenue meetings with Director of Sales
