Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance or engineering
  • Ability to perform plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety procedures
  • Availability for emergency call-outs
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and standard operating procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in hotel or facility maintenance
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to maintain accurate records
  • Basic computer skills for logging and tracking tasks

Job Duties

  • Report to work on time and in full uniform
  • Train and instruct other staff members by sharing knowledge and skills
  • Operate independently by analyzing problems, identifying solutions, and implementing repairs with quality
  • Keep accurate completion and task records
  • Perform plumbing duties including plunging toilets and unclogging drains
  • Repair hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment such as lamps and air conditioners
  • Clean, lubricate, and maintain all tools and equipment
  • Secure all tools in proper storage
  • Monitor systems and handle emergencies
  • Maintain knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems
  • Observe and analyze energy and utility usage
  • Report energy conservation ideas
  • Respond to emergencies to protect guests, associates, and property
  • Maintain safety by following Job Safety Analysis and correcting hazardous conditions
  • Read and interpret meter and gauge readings
  • Document daily activities and problems
  • Keep engineering areas clean and organized
  • Communicate with supervisors about materials, tools, and supplies
  • Provide training and technical advice to engineers
  • Comply with all laws, codes, and regulations
  • Maintain a professional image
  • Follow safety and security procedures
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and employee handbook
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
