Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in mechanical or hotel maintenance roles
- Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely
- Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks including lifting and climbing
- Ability to work flexible hours, including availability for emergencies
- Adherence to safety rules and regulations
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hotel maintenance or a related mechanical role preferred
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain detailed maintenance records
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
- Working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems

Job Duties
- Report to work on time and in full uniform
- Train and instruct other members of the staff through sharing of knowledge and skills
- Operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality
- Keep accurate completion and task records in the project files
- Plunge toilets, unclog drains, repair all types of hardware, plumbing, and electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners and cosmetic items
- Clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel
- Monitor systems as necessary to be fully informed of the system operation and to handle emergencies involving the systems
- Have a working knowledge of fire sprinkler and emergency power systems
- Look for ways to conserve energy and report any ideas to the Engineering Management
- Act quickly and responsibly to return the building to its normal operating status in emergencies
- Maintain a thorough log of each day’s activities and problems and pass this information on to other shifts
- Clean all engineering areas as directed
- Work in a neat and efficient manner
- Follow all safety and security procedures and rules
- Provide training and technical advice to other engineers as needed or requested
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and regulations
- Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform other duties as assigned by management within the capability of the employee
