Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5-10 years of carpentry experience in hotels or cruise ships
  • Ability to travel extensively to ship locations
  • Ability to pass US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
  • Willingness to manage subcontractors and inspect completed work

Job Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of carpentry experience in hotels or cruise ships
  • Ability to travel to and from vessels as required
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
  • US Coast Guard regulated pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to identify, manage, and solve problems
  • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Consistent, accountable, confident, assertive, and committed

Job Duties

  • Inspects public areas and stateroom hotel furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • Installs wallpaper, tile, and carpet
  • Repairs and installs wood trim and moldings
  • Paints doors, walls, trim
  • Installs artwork and TV’s
  • Performs general carpentry tasks
  • Fixes or replaces broken fixtures and equipment
