Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Availability for day and evening shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 60 pounds, standing for long periods, reaching overhead, kneeling and stooping
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to respond promptly to guest needs
  • Willingness to follow company safety and security policies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Commitment to representing the hotel with professionalism and integrity

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven ability to perform basic maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical and carpentry
  • Experience in hospitality or service industry is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safety and security protocols
  • Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand or move for extended periods
  • Customer service oriented

Job Duties

  • Perform basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms and public spaces
  • Maintain building by performing basic repairs, carpentry, shoveling, clean-up work, snow and ice removal, plumbing, electrical, painting and any other related maintenance activities as needed
  • Inspect and maintain machinery and equipment for conformance with operations and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas
  • Ensure security of any assigned keys
  • Assist with Lost Prevention as needed to ensure the safety and security of guests and associates
  • Assist with preventive maintenance and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Respond in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints and/ or requests to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction
  • Assist in checking and making routine repairs and assist on major repairs on all hotel equipment
  • Service the hotel's pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters
  • complete maintenance requests forms and record logs
  • Maintain the building's exterior and curb appeal
  • Assist with setting up, tearing down and cleaning up banquet and meeting rooms as assigned
  • Respond to all emergency situations and notify the appropriate authorities and managers
  • Be able to use two-way radios, telephones, general office equipment and various types of maintenance equipment
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a safe and hazard-free work environment
  • Ensure the security of inventory, such as tools, supplies, equipment, furniture and televisions
  • Replenish supplies in a timely and efficient manner, minimizing waste and ensuring that equipment is prepared and operational for the next shift
  • Make regular rounds of the building to ensure proper operation of equipment, while also looking for any safety and security items and report them immediately
  • Understand and practice all tasks and procedures in accordance with OSHA and company standards
  • Assist in any other task or duties as requested by management
