Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance preferred
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration systems
  • Understanding of OSHA chemical use and storage standards
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality maintenance role preferred
  • Strong mechanical skills including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and refrigeration knowledge
  • Ability to read blueprints and manufacturer instructions
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards for chemical use and storage
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Maintain accurate records on preventative maintenance
  • Perform general maintenance, preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs duties as assigned
  • Adhere to safety, security and emergency procedures, react appropriately during emergency situations, and act promptly to correct hazards
  • Listen to and promptly act to resolve guest problems
  • Clean and organize maintenance areas
  • Troubleshoot HVAC, MEP and refrigeration systems and perform basic electric and plumbing repairs
  • Keep Chief Engineer informed of issues or unusual matters of significance
