Job Requirements
- One or more years of experience in a branded, quality hotel preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must display professionalism and have characteristics of honesty and trustworthiness
- Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to perform major life activities including standing, lifting, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, and reach
- Work schedule may include holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift and/or carry 30 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience in a branded, quality hotel preferred
- Knowledge of proper procedures for handling linens and supplies
- Familiarity with sanitation standards for supplies, guestrooms, and public areas
- Understanding of safety and security measures
- Ability to follow laundry procedures
- Maintain guest privacy
- Demonstrated ability to assist with guest issues professionally
- Detail oriented
- Able to multitask
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
Job Duties
- Receive, sort soiled linens and terry
- Maintain records of damaged or stained linen and terry
- Operate washers and dryers as manufacturer intended including cleaning lint traps, wiping outside of machines, and requesting maintenance assistance
- Inform supervisor or management of any mechanical failures or supply shortages
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines when handling hazardous liquids, chemicals, stains
- Fold clean terry and linen followed by stocking shelves and storage rooms
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
