Job Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to perform tasks that require reaching, bending, stooping and lifting
- ability to safely lift bags, cases, and stacks up to 60 pounds many times per day
- ability to work in hot, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time
Job Qualifications
- No prior experience required
- must obtain Food Handlers Certification prior to beginning work
- reliable and responsible
- positive attitude and work well as part of a team
- ability to work unsupervised and in a fast paced kitchen
- ability to communicate effectively with managers, kitchen staff, and dining room personnel
- willing to follow directions and ask for clarification if needed
Job Duties
- Assume 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware
- load, run and unload the dish machine
- keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
- monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
- clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and equipment parts
- wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
- keep dishwashing area clean and organized
- maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
- bag and haul trash to dumpster
- handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
- maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
- clean food preparation and production areas as required
- be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant
- attend all scheduled meetings and bring suggestions for improvement
- any and all other duties as assigned
- duties are subject to change as management deems necessary to best serve the needs of Moody Gardens
