Job Requirements
- Food handler's license and liquor server permit as required by state law or ability to obtain
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 pounds and navigating varied environments
- Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces occasionally
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be able to climb stairs inside and outside in different weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 1 year food and beverage experience preferred
- Previous hospitality experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to recommend menu items expertly
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to operate POS systems accurately
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to handle guest complaints professionally
- Team-oriented with the ability to work cooperatively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Provide exceptional food and beverage service by anticipating and responding to guest needs
- Greet guests, offer expert menu recommendations, and answer food and beverage inquiries
- Accurately take and input orders into the POS system, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are communicated
- Retrieve and serve food and beverages promptly, verifying presentation and portion accuracy
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and address concerns proactively
- Assist in maintaining service stations, ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies
- Support banquet events by assisting with setup, service, and breakdown
- Follow sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Warmly welcome guests and handle requests promptly and professionally
- Manage guest complaints and concerns with discretion and professionalism
- Communicate clearly with guests and kitchen staff
- Assist with guest recovery efforts in absence of management
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity in guest and team interactions
- Communicate effectively with hotel staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Complete daily activity logs for co-workers and leadership
- Obtain sales leads for the sales department
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability
- Perform other hotel-related duties as assigned
