Job Requirements
- Food handler’s license and liquor server permits as required by state law or ability to obtain
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends and holidays
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Hospitality or hotel work experience preferred
- Previous bartending experience preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wine, and other beverages with precision and consistency
- Follow standardized recipes while incorporating creativity for signature drinks
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on cocktails, wine pairings, and spirits based on guest preferences
- Maintain consistent beverage presentation, portion control, and garnishing standards that reflect the hotel’s upscale environment
- Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Input orders into a register at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers, to maintain accountability of all beverages served
- Display knowledge of liquor laws, maintain the attractive presentation and sanitize all areas at least once daily, make suggestions for the reception and drink menus
- Bus and clean tables after guest use
- Greet all guests warmly and provide attentive, knowledgeable service as they enter the lounge, offering thoughtful drink and food recommendations in alignment with Oxford Collection’s elevated service standards
- Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal drinking age requirements
- check identification for guests appearing under the age of 26
- Detect and act on customer inebriation, as trained
- Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity when working with both internal and external guests
- Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure smooth delivery of services
- Lock up and stores all beverage, food and other equipment items, deposit cash drops and secures bank
- Complete a daily activity log with pertinent shift information for co-workers and leadership team
- Coordinate with front desk, maintenance staff, Food and Beverage Manager and General Manager on things requiring attention
- Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability for scheduled shifts
- Other Hotel related duties as assigned
