Job Requirements

  • ability to lift, push, pull and carry at least 50 pounds
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to kneel, bend, crawl, squat and crouch
  • tolerate exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
  • must be available to work morning shifts including weekdays and weekends
  • prior housekeeping or environmental services experience

Job Duties

  • cleans hotel according to standards and within required timeframes including dusting furniture, sweeping, washing walls, scrubbing floors, washing windows, doors, panels and sills
  • empties trash
  • vacuums carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
  • cleans bathrooms
  • maintains guest hallways ensuring cleanliness and order
  • completes work projects as assigned by supervisor and management
  • cleans and polishes floors, windows, mirrors, vending machines, and ice machines
  • vacuums, shampoos, and removes soiled spots from carpets
  • removes litter from public spaces
  • transports trash and waste to disposal areas
  • supports housekeepers by assisting with room servicing including stripping beds, removing trash, bagging linen and transporting to laundry
  • delivers requested service items and amenities to guestrooms
  • uses housekeeping chemicals safely and effectively
  • prevents damage to hotel property by exercising proper caution with chemicals and equipment
  • reports maintenance requests timely
  • actively engages guests and meets their needs aiming to exceed expectations
