Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
- Attention to detail in cleaning and maintenance
- Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Job Duties
- Load and store carts according to RCS standards and pick up keys
- Clean each assigned guest room according to exact RCS standards
- Enter each guest room by knocking on the door and saying 'Housekeeping'. If no answer, proceed to enter. If guest is in room, accommodate their wishes regarding cleaning
- Upon entering each room, pick up all trash and immediately report any missing hotel property items
- Change linens and make bed properly
- Clean bathroom including shower curtain, walls, mirror, tub, toilet and floor
- Properly place standard items in bathroom area
- Dust room items, vacuum carpet, clean inside nightstand and dresser drawers, clean and check under bed and closet
- Check all electrical appliances (hair dryer, alarm clock, television, lamps) to ensure they work properly
- Check all room amenities (guest directory, portable phone, pen, etc.) are in proper places
- Operate and store housekeeping equipment and appliances properly and carefully
- Report any broken equipment or appliances to Housekeeping Manager
- Follow procedures for turning in guests' personal property found after check-out
- Report vacant ready rooms to Front Desk after cleaning
- Restock housekeeping cart for next day and turn in cart and keys at shift end
- Help maintain guest room corridors by picking up trash and removing room service trays
- Report unusual occurrences or suspicious persons to supervisor or management
- Follow Renaissance ClubSport and OSHA safety guidelines
- Be warmly hospitable to guests, offer greetings and help when requested
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Executive Housekeeper
