Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, speak, hear and see
  • Ability to walk, kneel and bend
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to fold and stack towels and linens
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push and maneuver a heavy cart
  • Ability to use cleaning equipment, appliances and supplies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is advantageous
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to complete shift duties
  • Basic knowledge of safety and hygiene practices
  • Willingness to learn and follow company procedures

Job Duties

  • Load and store carts according to RCS standards and pick up keys
  • Clean each assigned guest room according to exact RCS standards
  • Enter each guest room by knocking on the door and saying 'Housekeeping'
  • accommodate guest wishes on cleaning timing
  • Pick up all trash and report missing hotel property immediately upon entering rooms
  • Change linens and properly make beds
  • Clean bathroom including shower curtain, walls, mirror, tub, toilet and floor
  • Properly place standard items in bathroom area
  • Dust room items, vacuum carpet, clean inside nightstand and dresser drawers, under bed, and closet
  • Check electrical appliances for proper working condition
  • Ensure room amenities are placed correctly
  • Use, operate and store housekeeping equipment properly
  • Report broken equipment to Housekeeping Manager
  • Follow procedures for handling guests' personal property found after check-out
  • Report vacant ready rooms to Front Desk upon completion
  • Restock housekeeping cart and turn in cart and keys at end of shift
  • Maintain guest room corridors by picking up trash and removing room service trays
  • Report unusual occurrences or suspicious persons for hotel security
  • Follow Renaissance ClubSport and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Be warmly hospitable with guests and offer assistance
  • Perform other duties assigned by Executive Housekeeper
