Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift fifty pounds
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and stand for extended periods
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to visually inspect rooms for cleanliness and guest belongings
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • Availability to work varying shifts in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Neat and clean appearance in compliance with company standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and checklists
  • Strong communication skills for interaction with guests and team members
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of safety and emergency procedures
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods

Job Duties

  • Stocks housekeeping bag to ensure enough cleaning supplies, equipment, and amenities are available
  • Observes knocking procedures upon entering a guest room
  • Cleans assigned guest rooms thoroughly and stocks amenities
  • Completes housekeeping checklist and marks clean rooms for supervisor inspection
  • Reports damages or hazards in guest rooms
  • Secures guest room doors upon exiting
  • Keeps corridors and service areas neat
  • Turns in lost and found items and guest room keys
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Follows safety and security procedures and rules
  • Knows fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilizes protective equipment
  • Reports unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, near-misses, and property damage to management
  • Maintains neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Assists other housekeeping personnel when needed
  • Performs any related duties as requested by management
