Job Requirements
- ability to perform physical tasks such as bending lifting and standing for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 25-30 pounds e g cleaning supplies towels linens
- ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and heavy linen bins
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience in hotel or similar environment is a plus
- knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment is a plus
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- good time-management skills
- basic knowledge of cleaning products chemicals and equipment
- strong communication skills
- ability to maintain professional and positive attitude
Job Duties
- clean guest rooms including making beds dusting vacuuming and sanitizing all surfaces
- change linens replace towels and restock amenities
- ensure furniture fixtures and room equipment are clean functional and in good repair
- clean bathrooms including sinks tubs toilets mirrors and floors ensuring high levels of cleanliness and sanitation
- report maintenance issues or damages to supervisor or maintenance
- ensure rooms are ready and available for check-in by designated time
- provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests for extra items
- restock housekeeping carts with linens towels and supplies
- maintain polite and friendly demeanor with guests
- follow safety protocols and cleaning procedures
- communicate guest complaints and feedback to supervisor
- maintain neat and organized work areas
