Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- good physical stamina and mobility
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- must follow safety standards and use cleaning chemicals properly
- able to maintain confidentiality and security of guest belongings
- able to communicate effectively with team members and management
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is a plus
- ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high cleanliness standards
- good communication skills
- ability to interact courteously with guests and coworkers
- basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to work efficiently within time limits
- physical ability to perform demanding tasks
- willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
Job Duties
- Cleans hotel guestrooms, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
- sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries hotel linens
- cleans hotel according to franchise standards and within required timeframes, including making beds, dusting furniture, washing walls and woodwork
- vacuums, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors
- washes windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
- cleans and vacuums rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- cleans bathroom sinks, toilets, tubs, and showers
- replenishes supplies such as bathroom necessities and drinking glasses
- moves furniture, hangs drapes, and rolls carpets
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replaces light bulbs
- stocks, organizes, and maintains housekeeping carts and equipment
- greets guests in a warm, friendly manner
- ensures key control and security policies
- uses materials, chemicals, and tools safely
- communicates with maintenance department regarding room needs
