Job Requirements
- availability to work every Saturday and Sunday
- must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch for extended periods
- must follow all safety procedures
- maintain professional appearance and punctuality
- legal authorization to work in the country
- willingness to undergo background check if required
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- strong attention to detail
- good physical stamina
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- good communication skills
- reliability and punctuality
Job Duties
- clean hotel guestrooms, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
- sort, count, fold, mark, or carry hotel linens
- clean hotel according to franchise standards including stripping and making beds, dusting furniture, washing walls, ceiling, and woodwork, vacuuming, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, washing windows, door panels, and sills
- empty wastebaskets and ashtrays
- clean and vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- clean bathroom sink, toilet, tubs, and showers
- replenish supplies such as bathroom necessities, drinking glasses and writing supplies
- move furniture, hang drapes, and roll carpets
- transport trash and waste to disposal area
- replace light bulbs
- stock, organize, and maintain housekeeping carts and equipment
- greet guests in a warm, friendly manner
- ensure key control and security policies to maintain guest privacy and security
- use all materials, chemicals, and tools safely
- communicate with maintenance department regarding room needs
