Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- capability to lift and move heavy items
- reliable and punctual
- basic literacy and comprehension skills
- ability to follow detailed instructions
- commitment to maintaining grooming and uniform standards
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- must be able to handle physically demanding tasks
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or custodial services beneficial
- ability to follow instructions accurately and thoroughly
- strong attention to detail and time management skills
- effective communication skills
- ability to work independently and within a team
- willingness to perform duties in different hotel departments as needed
- knowledge of basic cleaning chemicals and equipment use
Job Duties
- perform duties to ensure guest rooms and common areas are cleaned to operational standards
- complete all required company and brand-specific training and/or certifications in a timely manner
- prepare housekeeping cart upon arrival and at shift closing daily
- always follow grooming and appearance guidelines and wear uniform and name tag on shift
- use and update room assignment clipboard and manage master room keys securely
- report room conditions to head housekeeper or front desk
- perform self-inspections of assigned rooms and areas
- perform duties in other departments as needed such as folding laundry and cleaning lobby
- maintain a strong work ethic and high degree of pride and integrity in job performance
- comply with confidentiality expectations
- communicate courteously and professionally with teammates, management, and guests
- have knowledge of general housekeeping and record keeping
- comprehend oral and written instructions, correspondence, and memos
