Job Requirements

  • A degree in hospitality or business management is an asset but not required
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of sales experience
  • Excellent communication and guest relation skills in English
  • The ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
  • Must be able to work well in stressful high-pressure situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Must be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests
  • Must be able to multi-task have strong organizational and decision-making skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education required
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Prior sales and hospitality experience required
  • Knowledge of Memphis market preferred
  • Excellent communication and guest relations skills in English
  • Ability to work well with a large group of people in a team environment
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them satisfactorily
  • Effective listener with strong organizational and decision-making skills

Job Duties

  • Solicit negotiate and contract new and existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals through telephone prospecting outside calls site inspections and written communication
  • Maximize revenue by selling all facets of the facility promoting our preferred vendors and assisting with additional revenue streams
  • Utilize sales platform to track accounts bookings contacts and prepare correspondence to customers internal booking reports and file maintenance
  • Negotiate and complete contracts with clients
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends competition and key customers of the facility
  • Partner with area hotels facilities for overflow needs as well as overnight sleeping rooms
  • Drive customer loyalty through excellent customer service throughout the sales process
