Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in the hospitality industry
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and policies
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Capability to conduct regular inspections and enforce safety standards
  • Availability to manage staffing schedules and hold regular meetings
  • Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • Experience managing multiple departments within a hotel or hospitality business
  • Proven financial management skills including budgeting and revenue oversight
  • Strong knowledge of franchise compliance and operational standards
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and training programs
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to supervise a large staff and maintain employee relations
  • Experience with customer service and guest satisfaction practices

Job Duties

  • Reinforces standards for hotel personnel administration and performance in compliance with KHC policies and legal requirements
  • Oversees and manages the business unit's overall financial performance including revenue management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, cash handling, and purchasing
  • Develops and manages operating budgets with subordinate managers and Director of Operations
  • Ensures compliance with franchise agreements through inspections and timely reporting
  • Monitors recruitment, hiring, training, development, and orientation of hotel employees
  • Oversees employee relations and enforces safety training and programs
  • Controls funds, authorizes expenditures, and assists in departmental budget planning
  • Holds weekly staff meetings and manages the Manager on Duty system
  • Monitors local market changes and competitive trends
  • Approves purchases of supplies and equipment within guidelines
  • Conducts inspections of guest rooms and public areas
  • Addresses guest complaints and ensures guest satisfaction through excellent service and follow-up
