Job Requirements
- A four-year college degree or equivalent education and experience
- previous experience as general manager or assistant general manager at a similar size and type of hotel
- advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management
- effective communication skills including excellent speech and writing
- ability to analyze and interpret complex activities
- strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
- physical ability to inspect hotel premises regularly
- commitment to company policies and procedures
- experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls
- willingness to participate in community relations and marketing efforts
Job Qualifications

- advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management

Job Duties
- Lead the Executive Committee using a participative management style
- coordinate departmental operations and special projects
- assist in identifying problems and developing solutions
- develop and achieve annual operating budget targets for revenues, costs, and profits
- set and follow up on quarterly priorities and objectives for department heads
- conduct monthly forecasting of staff and operating expenditures
- review and analyze monthly profit and loss statements
- review and control departmental expenses
- foster high employee morale and reduce turnover
- conduct staff evaluations and implement development plans
- assure staffing meets job requirements and maintain cost controls
- manage wage and salary administration in compliance with company policies
- perform regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house
- establish and maintain guest service standards
- implement preventive maintenance programs
- develop and monitor marketing and sales plans
- oversee food and beverage promotion activities
- maintain credit policies and supervise collections
- review Front Office results and initiate solutions
- represent the hotel in the local community
- ensure full implementation of company policies and procedures throughout the hotel
