Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in hotel operations management
- Ability to speak, read, and write the primary workplace language
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computational and computer skills
- Knowledge of accounting programs and budget analysis
- Compliance with local, state, and federal laws and employment regulations
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and to push or pull carts weighing up to 250 lbs
- Capacity to work varied hours including weekends and holidays based on business needs
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and walking for extended periods
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 4 hours daily with frequent standing and walking
- Ability to operate office equipment like computers, printers, and multi-line phones
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Understanding of labor laws including Title VII, ADA, FMLA, OSHA, and related statutes
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel management or a related field
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of hotel operations, sales, and revenue management
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal employment regulations
- Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans
- Competence in financial analysis and budgeting
- Skilled in employee performance assessment and training
- Proficient with computer accounting programs and basic computer skills
- Ability to manage capital improvement projects
- Advanced knowledge of hospitality industry standards and guest service excellence
Job Duties
- Lead effective management of rooms, food & beverage, and engineering departments to maximize financial performance
- Direct the maximization of room revenue through market analysis and marketing plan participation
- Measure effectiveness of marketing plans and yield management to diversify revenue
- Develop and implement strategic business plans defining operational and profitability goals
- Coordinate capital improvement projects to maintain quality standards and protect assets
- Conduct regular staff and employee meetings to ensure communication and compliance
- Manage, train, and counsel sales, catering, and revenue management staff
- Participate in sales presentations and customer meetings
