Job Requirements
- at least 3 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- preferred 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years of related experience or 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years of related experience
- brand experience preferred
- maintain warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests
- effective listening understanding and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
- ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
- approach all encounters in attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
- comply with company standards and regulations
- effective problem handling including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems
- ability to understand and evaluate complex information from various sources to meet objectives
- ability to maintain confidentiality of information
- long hours sometimes required
- light work with ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
- must have valid driver’s license for Indiana

Job Duties
- play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top ten accounts meeting clients hosting luncheons and receptions and meeting with on-site contacts daily weekly and monthly
- assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest through employee development and motivation
- tour operating departments daily making adjustments via department heads
- conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions using effective training steps and review sales and operations efforts
- meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and standard checkbook accounting procedures
- develop managers for advancement through competency and corporate training programs
