Job Requirements

  • at least 3 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
  • preferred 4-year college degree with 4 to 5 years of related experience or 2-year college degree with 5 to 6 years of related experience
  • brand experience preferred
  • maintain warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests
  • effective listening understanding and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests
  • ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • approach all encounters in attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with company standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing nametags
  • comply with company standards and regulations
  • effective problem handling including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems
  • ability to understand and evaluate complex information from various sources to meet objectives
  • ability to maintain confidentiality of information
  • long hours sometimes required
  • light work with ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • must have valid driver’s license for Indiana

Job Duties

  • play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts including calling on top ten accounts meeting clients hosting luncheons and receptions and meeting with on-site contacts daily weekly and monthly
  • assist in creating a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest through employee development and motivation
  • tour operating departments daily making adjustments via department heads
  • conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions using effective training steps and review sales and operations efforts
  • meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
  • ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and standard checkbook accounting procedures
  • develop managers for advancement through competency and corporate training programs
