Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management business administration or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 7 plus years in hotel leadership with at least 3 years as a GM in a full service branded hotel
  • Prior Hilton or DoubleTree brand experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong leadership financial acumen and communication skills
  • Proven record in operational management guest satisfaction and team development
  • Bilingual English Spanish preferred for this border market location
  • Flexible availability including nights weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to manage property walkthroughs respond to emergencies and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs

Job Duties

  • Lead and manage all functional areas including rooms food and beverage sales housekeeping engineering and banquets
  • Champion DoubleTree's warm welcome brand promise ensuring top tier service cleanliness and hospitality
  • Develop property specific strategies to optimize operational efficiency revenue and profitability
  • Act as the hotel's public face fostering relationships with guests employees the local community and ownership
  • Oversee budgeting forecasting and financial planning in partnership with ownership and corporate
  • Monitor and control labor and operational expenses while overseeing capital improvements to align with financial targets
  • Track and analyze KPIs such as GOP RevPAR ADR and GOPPAR to drive accountability and performance
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales and Revenue Management to capitalize on growth opportunities in the Laredo market
  • Engage actively in sales outreach networking and promotional initiatives
  • Support group corporate and local account efforts
  • Hire nurture and retain talent across all departments ensure succession planning and effective performance management
  • Promote a service focused culture based on Hilton's hospitality ethos and the DoubleTree brand spirit
  • Enhance associate engagement safety and retention through communication recognition and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws Hilton brand standards and company policies
  • Maintain audit readiness at all times including QA brand standards fire safety and health inspections
  • Lead safety security and emergency preparedness initiatives
