Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel management
  • Proven track record of managing hotel operations successfully
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operating systems and financial management
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Proficiency with budgeting and financial reporting
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and safety regulations
  • Flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience as a hotel general manager or hotel assistant general manager
  • Extensive experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
  • Hotel operations experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Proven financial management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Duties

  • Oversee the operational functions of the hotel as per the organizational chart
  • Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards
  • Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment
  • Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual operating budget, marketing & sales plan and capital budget
  • Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
  • Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property
  • Develop improvement actions and carry out cost savings
  • A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
  • Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food & beverage, admin & general are on target and accurate
  • Maximize room yield and hotels/resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs
  • Draw up plans and budget (revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners
  • Help in procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services
  • Oversee and manage all departments and work closely with department heads daily
  • Provide effective leadership to hotel team members and managers
  • Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits)
  • Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements
