Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel management
- Proven track record of managing hotel operations successfully
- Strong knowledge of hotel operating systems and financial management
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to develop and implement strategic business plans
- Strong customer service orientation
- Proficiency with budgeting and financial reporting
- Ability to lead and motivate teams
- Knowledge of relevant legal and safety regulations
- Flexibility to work beyond standard hours when necessary
Job Qualifications
- At least 5 years experience as a hotel general manager or hotel assistant general manager
- Extensive experience in the hospitality industry is preferred
- Hotel operations experience
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Proven financial management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Job Duties
- Oversee the operational functions of the hotel as per the organizational chart
- Ensure full compliance to hotel operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards
- Lead all key property issues including capital projects, customer service and refurbishment
- Responsible for the preparation, presentation and subsequent achievement of the hotel’s annual operating budget, marketing & sales plan and capital budget
- Manage on-going profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue and guest satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
- Deliver hotel budget goals and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property
- Develop improvement actions and carry out cost savings
- A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies
- Ensure that monthly financial outlooks for rooms, food & beverage, admin & general are on target and accurate
- Maximize room yield and hotels/resort revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs
- Draw up plans and budget (revenues, costs, etc.) for the owners
- Help in procurement of operating supplies and equipment and contracting with third-party vendors for essential equipment and services
- Oversee and manage all departments and work closely with department heads daily
- Provide effective leadership to hotel team members and managers
- Responsible for safeguarding the quality of operations both (internal & external audits)
- Responsible for legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements
