Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel management or hospitality operations
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of hotel administrative procedures
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Proficient in using hotel management software and financial systems
- Must comply with all company policies and maintain professional conduct
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
- Previous experience in hotel management or hospitality leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of financial management and budgeting
- Experience managing multiple departments and large teams
- Familiarity with franchise compliance and reporting requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate staff
- Proven problem-solving abilities and customer service orientation
- Understanding of safety standards and compliance programs
Job Duties
- Reinforces standards for hotel personnel administration and performance in compliance with KHC policies/procedures, state, federal and local laws
- Oversees and manages the business unit’s overall financial performance including Revenue Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Cash Handling and Purchasing
- Develops and manages operating budgets in conjunction with subordinate managers and Director of Operations
- Ensures compliance with franchise agreements through regular inspections and accuracy of reports
- Monitors recruitment, hiring, training, development and orientation of all hotel employees and oversees employee relations
- Oversees and ensures compliance on safety training and programs such as MSDS status, lock out tag out, safety committees, blood-borne pathogens, fire/tornado procedures and general safety
- Controls funds, authorizes expenditures, and assists in planning budgets for departments
- Oversees and ensures each employee understands and is offered employee benefits
- Holds weekly staff meetings for communication and accountability
- Schedules and oversees the Manager on Duty (MOD) system
- Monitors and reports changes in the local market and competitive trends
- Approves purchases of supplies and equipment within KHC purchasing guidelines
- Inspects guest rooms, public access areas and grounds for cleanliness and appearance
- Answers patrons’ complaints and resolves problems quickly
- Ensures guest satisfaction through excellent customer service and timely follow-up
