Job Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance
  • Ability to communicate operational activities and problems with management
  • Knowledge of common equipment malfunctions
  • Ability to repair heating and air conditioning systems
  • Basic painting and caulking skills
  • Ability to use standard hand tools
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance methods
  • Ability to test hotel equipment for normal operation
  • Knowledge of pool and spa chemical testing
  • Knowledge of fire equipment handling
  • Experience in construction trades preferred
  • Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing stairs and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions and access high or confined spaces

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a maintenance-type position
  • Knowledge of common causes of equipment malfunction
  • Ability to repair and replace basic heating and air conditioning systems
  • Skills in painting and caulking
  • Proficiency with standard hand tools such as wrenches, pliers, and screwdrivers
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques
  • Ability to perform equipment operational tests
  • Understanding of pool and spa chemical testing
  • Knowledge of fire equipment handling
  • Experienced in construction trades
  • Previous hotel experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication abilities

Job Duties

  • Work independently and monitor operations and functions of interior and exterior areas of the property
  • Follow established guidelines to protect company assets, associates, and guests
  • Promote enhanced guest satisfaction through professional and friendly interactions
  • Perform a variety of engineering and construction trade skills related to preventive maintenance and repairs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Interact with employees and guests using proficient communication skills
  • Promote a collaborative, proactive, and interactive environment with other hotel associates
  • Follow all safety protocols when using tools and equipment, ensuring organized and tidy storage
  • Embrace company guiding principles such as Thinking Bigger and Doing the Right Thing
