Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent
  • competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • ability to stand and walk for entire shift
  • fluency in English language
  • ability to work 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm shifts including weekdays and weekends
  • ability to maintain calm demeanor when dealing with customer issues

Job Qualifications

  • 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent
  • competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • experience using hotel reservation system such as Lightspeed, FOSSE or OnQ is a plus
  • organization skills and attention to detail
  • friendly and customer service oriented
  • good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet guests at check-in with a smile and warm welcome and complete registration process
  • greet guests at check-out with a smile and warm greeting and complete the check-out process
  • demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories and rates
  • use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and loyalty programs
  • follow acceptable phone etiquette and promptly answer calls
  • respond to guest inquiries and requests in a friendly and efficient manner
  • use attentive active listening skills to handle guest complaints and escalate to a manager if necessary
  • complete designated start and end-of-shift tasks and reports
  • inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data
