Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent
- competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- ability to stand and walk for entire shift
- fluency in English language
- ability to work 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm shifts including weekdays and weekends
- ability to maintain calm demeanor when dealing with customer issues
Job Qualifications
- 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent
- competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- experience using hotel reservation system such as Lightspeed, FOSSE or OnQ is a plus
- organization skills and attention to detail
- friendly and customer service oriented
- good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- ability to work weekends
Job Duties
- Greet guests at check-in with a smile and warm welcome and complete registration process
- greet guests at check-out with a smile and warm greeting and complete the check-out process
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories and rates
- use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and loyalty programs
- follow acceptable phone etiquette and promptly answer calls
- respond to guest inquiries and requests in a friendly and efficient manner
- use attentive active listening skills to handle guest complaints and escalate to a manager if necessary
- complete designated start and end-of-shift tasks and reports
- inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data
