Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of hotel front desk experience
- Competent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Fluency in English
- Ability to maintain calm demeanor under pressure
- Availability to work 7am-3pm or 3pm-11pm shifts
- Prior experience with hotel reservation systems preferred
- Customer service orientation
- Attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent
- Competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience using hotel reservation systems such as Lightspeed, FOSSE or OnQ is a plus
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Friendly and customer service oriented
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
Job Duties
- Greet guests at check-in with a smile and warm welcome, complete the registration process according to brand and company standards, enter and retrieve information from the system, confirm guest information and identity, refer to guest by name, confirm room rate and type, assign room, code electronic keys, acknowledge loyalty status, promote marketing programs, provide welcome information, ensure guest knows location of room and elevator
- Greet guests at check-out with a smile and warm greeting, complete the check-out process according to brand and company standards, refer to guest by name, confirm room rate and other charges are accurate and accounted for, confirm payment method, update if needed, process payment, print or email folio, document guest's preferences by updating guest's profile
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, the local area and other products, answer guest questions and inquiries
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services, facilities and benefits of loyalty program
- Follow acceptable phone etiquette by answering phone promptly with a polite professional greeting and offering assistance
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and efficiently
- Use attentive and active listening skills when fielding guest complaints, apologize, empathize and take prompt action to resolve complaint, escalate to manager if necessary
- Complete designated start and end-of-shift tasks and reports
- Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
