Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of front desk experience in a hotel environment
  • proficiency with computer systems and reservation software
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • ability to stand and walk during entire shift
  • fluency in English including speaking, reading, and writing
  • ability to perform basic arithmetic
  • calm demeanor under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a hotel front desk agent
  • competent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • familiarity with hotel reservation systems such as Lightspeed, FOSSE, or OnQ is a plus
  • excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to handle guest complaints professionally
  • flexibility to work any shift including weekends
  • fluency in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests at check-in with a smile and warm welcome, complete registration process, enter and retrieve guest information from system, confirm guest identity and loyalty status, assign rooms and code electronic keys, promote marketing programs and hotel services, greet guests at check-out and complete check-out process, verify room rates and additional charges, process payments and issue folios, update guest profiles with preferences, provide information about hotel amenities and the local area, use up-selling techniques to promote services, answer phone promptly with professional greeting, respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly, handle guest complaints with active listening and take action, complete start and end-of-shift reports and tasks, inform guests about payment methods and verify credit card data
