Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with correct English grammar skills including verbal and written communications
  • Must build and maintain excellent rapport with internal and external customers, team members, community, media, and shareholders
  • Must comply with all gaming laws and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills for customer rapport

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • Verify customers' credit and payment methods
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change
  • Perform bookkeeping activities such as balancing cash accounts
  • Review accounts and charges during guest check-out
  • Post charges to guest ledgers using hotel computer systems
  • Transmit and receive messages via telephone systems
  • Contact housekeeping or maintenance for guest issues
  • Review shift logs and room rates
  • Place service assurance calls to guests
  • Review VIP and group folders for proper blocking
  • Complete guest services checklists
  • Assist guests with luggage
  • Inform guests of hotel facilities and hours
  • Ensure proper luggage handling procedures
  • Issue luggage claim tags and store luggage
  • Deliver guest messages, mail, and faxes
  • Respond to guest inquiries and direct guests
  • Explain key system usage
  • Provide directions, information, and recommendations
  • Audit registration cards
  • Resolve guest complaints
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of work areas
  • Balance cash daily and prepare deposits
  • Comply with management requests and gaming laws
