Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have hotel front desk, customer service, or similar work experience
  • Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills relating to both internal and external guests are required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Advanced computer skills are preferred
  • Knowledge of Micros Opera property management system is a plus but not necessary
  • Must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with persons of diverse backgrounds
  • Must be able to tolerate standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push a cart weighing up to 150 lbs is required
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, twist and grip objects
  • Have good finger movement and differentiate colors
  • Weekend, holiday, and varied hours may apply

Job Duties

  • Ensuring guests are promptly greeted and successfully checked in and checked out of hotel rooms
  • Creating accurate reservations for individual guests and groups with room blocks
  • Resolving guest concerns and implementing solutions
  • Listening and understanding requests, issues, and situations from both guests and staff members
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, area attractions, room locations, rates, promotions, and events
