Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to speak clear English
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass pre-employment background and drug tests
  • Prior hotel attendant experience preferred
  • Previous bellman experience preferred
  • Experience with cashiering preferred
  • Available to work weekends, evening shifts, and major holidays
  • Compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Always arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat and professional appearance
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, carry, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch
  • Able to lift 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hospitality, preferably hotel attendant or front desk roles
  • Basic knowledge of service standards and etiquette
  • Previous bellman experience is a plus
  • Experience with cashiering preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and major holidays
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and company policies

Job Duties

  • Assist guests with front office related inquiries in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner
  • Register guests and comply with special requests whenever possible
  • Keep the front desk organized and clean
  • Ensure the proper use of radio etiquette within the department
  • Ensure correct and accurate cash handling
  • Post charges to guest accounts not posted or incurred on the night audit shift
  • Maintain and monitor 'Lost and Found' procedures and policies
  • Accurately and efficiently input information into computer systems
  • Complete checklists including summary arrival report, exceeded credit limit report, and folio balance
  • Utilize downtime to replenish sundry items and necessary paperwork at the front desk
  • Monitor the lobby ensuring it meets company standards
  • Fulfill guests' requests such as placing calls or holding letters or packages
  • Coordinate room status updates by notifying housekeeping
  • Operate telephones including answering calls, transferring to extensions, and taking messages
  • Attend and participate in all training sessions and team meetings
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • Follow instructions and company policies maintaining high conduct standards
  • Notify management of any problems or concerns
  • Report to the Front Desk Manager
  • Welcome guests and bid farewell in a cheerful manner
  • Escort guests to their accommodations
  • Assist guests with luggage pick up and drop off
  • Transport guests using the company shuttle passenger van
  • Ensure all luggage is stored and labeled properly
  • Have full knowledge of all property accommodations
  • Clean and maintain the main lobby, entrance space, and luggage trolleys
  • Restock and maintain the business center and lobby spa water
  • Set up Sunday Grab n' Go Continental Breakfast
  • Clean and lock up according to prescribed procedures
  • Report to the Front Desk Manager
