Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Tip and SERV Safe certified preferred
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience in restaurant settings
- Availability to work day, night, weekend shifts and holidays as required
- Ability to manage and supervise a team of up to ten employees
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient with POS and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to maintain compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Physical capability to lift 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- Two plus years of restaurant supervisory experience
- Experience supervising banquets is a plus
- Experience working in a hotel and free-standing restaurant environments helpful
- Computer proficient with Micro Symphony, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Proven leadership skills
- Ability to create weekly schedules
- Managerial experience to resolve guest and employee issues
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Understanding of cost controls and cash handling
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Lead food service team in dining area, handling hiring, scheduling, training, guiding, and evaluating
- Manage front-of-house food and beverage operations, including coordinating events and following established procedures
- Participate, assist, and contribute to the annual special events for the hotel and conference such as Mother’s Day and Easter events servicing over 1000 guests per event
- Establish and ensure all controls including bi-annual inventory controls are met
- Ensure that state and local sanitation codes are followed
- Create a positive first impression with a positive attitude
- Ensure all charges are correctly recorded in the POS system and balanced at shift close
- Complete all side work at the end of shift
