Job Requirements

  • At least high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in food service leadership
  • Proven ability to lead and manage food and beverage operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Availability to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
  • Ability to pass food handler certification exam
  • Capable of frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and stooping
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Capability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work in kitchen environments involving heat, noise, chemicals, and temperature changes

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of progressive experience in food service leadership
  • Proven track record of success in food and beverage operations with full-service experience
  • Additional bar experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Ability to manage staff and foster positive work environment
  • Sufficient education to read, write, and use computer systems
  • Ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure
  • Availability to work holidays and weekends as well as shorter or longer hours due to business volume
  • Ability to pass a food handler certification exam

Job Duties

  • Lead by example, putting the customer first and delivering exceptional customer service
  • Frequently address guest concerns with empathy and clear communication
  • Step in to assist staff with any restaurant duties, including cooking, serving, bussing, hosting, bartending, dishwashing, cleaning, or any other necessary tasks
  • Build strong relationships with your workforce, being approachable and supportive
  • Effectively delegate various management responsibilities to restaurant leads
  • Assist with allergen and food preference requests from customers as needed
  • Utilize scheduling software to ensure restaurants are adequately staffed at all times
  • Serve disciplinary action to employees for attendance or policy violations according to company policy
  • Conduct interviews for new hires and internal position applicants
  • Handle employee relations issues promptly and effectively
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and restaurants meet safety and health standards to pass audits
  • Ensure all team leaders and employees are trained and execute proper health and safety requirements at all times
  • Minimize food waste through effective management practices
  • Assist in weekly monitoring of financial reporting and timekeeping
  • Monitor labor hours on a shift to shift basis and ensure that payroll reports are accurate
  • Manage and count inventory for restaurant locations
  • Assist and manage various catering events
  • Create daily operational reports for management
  • Perform any additional tasks or cross training requested by management and administration
