Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel engineering or related field
- Supervisory experience required
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in preventative maintenance techniques
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent team leadership and staff supervision skills
- Proficiency in budget management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in hotel engineering or a related field
- Supervisory experience
- Extensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in preventative maintenance techniques and procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent team leadership and staff supervision skills
- Proficiency in budget management and financial tracking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using computers and relevant software
- Experience with building management systems (BMS) preferred
- Certified engineering certifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing) preferred
- Marriott hotel maintenance supervisor experience preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel's engineering department
- Direct and supervise a team of engineers and maintenance staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Manage the hotel's preventative maintenance program, scheduling and overseeing regular inspections and repairs of all building systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, ensuring minimal downtime
- Manage the engineering budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely and quality service
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and expenses
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes
- Maintain a clean and organized engineering workspace
- Work collaboratively with other hotel departments to address maintenance needs and concerns
