Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds independently
  • Ability to move up and down stairs, ramps, and ladders
  • Must meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
  • Open availability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical background
  • Minimum 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
  • Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and electronic systems
  • Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
  • Proficiency in safe use of hand and power tools
  • Ability to train and mentor less experienced engineers
  • Capability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities

Job Duties

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • Carry equipment such as tools and radios
  • Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and building shut-offs
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
