Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Ability to lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds independently
- Ability to move up and down stairs, ramps, and ladders
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and licensing requirements
- Open availability
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent with vocational or technical background
- Minimum 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- Valid Driver’s License
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Ability to perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
- Proficiency in safe use of hand and power tools
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced engineers
- Capability to perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities
Job Duties
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests
- Communicate with guests and customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Carry equipment such as tools and radios
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and building shut-offs
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
