  • high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • some experience in general maintenance
  • valid driver’s license
  • ability to lift 50 pounds
  • ability to move on stairs and ladders
  • basic computer skills
  • excellent communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
  • some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
  • knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment
  • basic computer skills
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment
  • valid driver’s license

Job Duties

  • respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • communicate with guests or customers to resolve maintenance issues
  • perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
  • visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • carry equipment such as tools and radio
  • identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and utility shut-offs
  • maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
  • communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
  • perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs
  • replace light bulbs and A/C filters
  • test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical components
  • program TVs
  • perform housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
  • follow Lockout/Tagout procedures
  • perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs
  • display basic computer skills
  • follow all safety and security policies
  • report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • maintain uniform and personal appearance
  • welcome and acknowledge guests
  • adhere to quality standards
  • develop positive working relationships
  • move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds
  • move on stairs, ramps, and ladders
  • perform other reasonable job duties as requested
