Job Requirements
- Must be able to exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 50 pounds frequently and/or 20 pounds constantly
- Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Flexible to work variable days including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work ten to twelve hour shifts sometimes required
- Completion of specialized training or certification in maintenance fields
- Prior experience in hospitality or maintenance preferred
Job Qualifications
- Specialized knowledge or certification in plumbing, electrician work, carpentry, equipment mechanics, HVAC, refrigeration or related field
- Trade school or college coursework in related field preferred
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Reading and writing skills to document tasks and follow instructions
- Mathematical skills including basic math and percentages
- Professional verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned areas such as buildings, hotel rooms, kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, water treatment systems, and swimming pools
- Perform preventative maintenance regularly to ensure equipment is maintained and operational
- Adhere to federal, state, and local safety regulations, brand standards and other compliance requirements
- Report all unsafe conditions or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- Follow procedures to ensure security of inventory and assets like tools, supplies, and equipment
- Replenish supplies and inventory efficiently while minimizing waste
- Take required readings on equipment and replace or program televisions as needed
