Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent training preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a culinary management role, preferably in a high-volume or upscale setting
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation techniques, and kitchen operations
- Proven leadership and team management skills to motivate and guide staff
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
- Proficiency in inventory management and cost control
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities
- Creative mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences through innovative menus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the Food & Beverage team
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a chef in a hotel or similar hospitality environment
- Culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and presentation skills
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with hotel standards and guest preferences
- Develop and update menus to reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, cleanliness, and safety compliance
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and service
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create special menus for events and banquets
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and hygiene standards
