Job Requirements
- Must be 21 or older
- must maintain an applicable state health and/or alcohol compliance card
- prior cooking experience of at least one year
- prior customer service experience of at least one year
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- ability to pass Responsible Service of Alcohol Test certification
- availability to work 4 hour, 8 hour, day, evening and night shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- prior experience working in a restaurant
- basic knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
- familiarity with standard drink recipes
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- customer service experience
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- basic cash handling skills
- knowledge of proper sanitation and hygiene practices
Job Duties
- Pass responsible service of alcohol test certification
- welcome each guest personally within 30 seconds
- communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic verbal and non-verbal cues
- work collaboratively with all hotel personnel to maintain efficient food and beverage service
- keep all bar areas clean and stocked according to company standards
- mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following standard recipes
- handle cash transactions accurately and promptly
- arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display
- wash and sterilize stemware
- be attentive and offer assistance proactively
- monitor and control alcohol service to ensure responsible consumption
- learn guests’ names, occupations and favorite drinks to provide personalized service
- perform additional duties as directed
- prepare food menu items when necessary
