Job Requirements
- Must meet legal age requirements of state
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Certification as required by state or local laws
- Extensive knowledge of mixology

- Ability to stand, carry 30-75 lbs, walk, lift, reach overhead, push, bend, and climb ladder
Job Duties
- Ensure that bar is clean and properly set up, i.e. supplies needed for upcoming shifts are available
- Report any shortages to manager
- Greet guests pleasantly as they approach the bar
- Promote house drinks and utilize up-selling skills whenever possible to maximize revenues
- Prepare beverages requested by guests or servers according to standard operating procedures establishing proper portions and ingredients to control costs and provide consistent product to the guest
- Have complete and applied knowledge of alcoholic awareness program
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all state and local ABC regulations
- Monitor guest behavior and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease
- Notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of customers
- Check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionable
- Inventory return of banquet bar beverages
- Ensure that bar is completely clean and secure at end of shift
- Promote marketing events to all guests
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change if applicable
- Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar
- Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to restaurant manager
- Assist the restocking and replenishment of bar inventory and supplies
