Job Requirements

  • Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management to their understanding

  • familiar with proper sanitation regulation
  • knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • high school education or its equivalent preferred
  • previous experience within the hospitality industry preferred
  • have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
  • bright and organized, detail oriented, confident and efficient person with great people skills and a can-do attitude
  • must be able to apply common sense to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
  • must be able to work with minimum supervision
  • constant standing and walking throughout shifts
  • frequent lifting and carrying up to 25-60 lbs
  • frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, and lifting

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and areas after each guest vacates a room
  • dusting and polishing furniture, woodwork, light fixtures, and ceiling fans
  • sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and shampooing carpets as needed
  • organizing and restocking guest supplies such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, and stationery
  • changing linens and towels, replacing soiled items with clean ones
  • removing waste from wastebaskets and ashtrays and disposing of it properly
  • maintaining cleanliness of dining utensils by washing, sanitizing, and hand-polishing
  • ensuring kitchen and storage areas meet health and safety standards
  • assisting with food storage, rotation, preparation, and garnishing dishes according to customer taste
  • performing other duties as requested such as cleaning unexpected spills and handling special guest requests
