Job Requirements
- Associate's degree in related field preferred
- One to two years of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word and hotel software
- Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve conflicts diplomatically and tactfully
- Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
- Michigan Gaming Control Board Occupational License Level 2

- Strong numerical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpreting data charts
Job Duties
- Supervising staff and overall daily management of a designated shift
- Supporting, administering, and managing operational goals and monitoring achievements of performance and profit objectives
- Conducting daily pre-shift meetings
- Preparing and communicating daily shift reports
- Assisting in creating effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing objectives
- Assisting in the budget process and ensuring compliance with departmental budget initiatives
- Promoting and demonstrating superior customer service and ensuring standards are followed
- Providing direction to hotel supervisory staff on assigned shifts
- Assisting with posting charges and settling folios
- Managing complaints, grievances, or concerns from team members
- Answering inquiries about hotel policies and services and resolving guests' challenges
- Assisting Hotel Manager in overseeing operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Bell Service, and Reservations
- Directing Housekeeping Supervisors and team members for high standards of cleanliness
- Touring facilities to evaluate team member performance
- Assisting in inspection of completed projects for satisfactory results
- Managing master and direct bill accounts
- Overseeing daily arrivals and departures
- Recommending policies and procedures to improve hotel service
- Maintaining maximized occupancy and revenue
- Ordering supplies and maintaining par levels
- Developing and maintaining safety programs
- Training staff on OSHA standards
- Maintaining confidentiality in departmental matters
- Staff development and training programs
- Managing rewards and recognition programs
- Evaluating team performance and providing feedback
- Recommending staffing and scheduling to meet business needs
- Managing work procedures and workflow
- Providing recommendations for employee performance management
